Savoring the Holidays with Veniero’s

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Now that the holiday season is underway, we wanted to celebrate with a photo of one of our favorite Italian bakeries – Veniero’s on East 11th Street between First and Second Avenues. As you can see, this East Village sweet spot, which has been serving up scrumptious goodies to both New Yorkers and visitors alike since 1894, is gearing up for lots of orders with these piles of dessert boxes on the sidewalk!

Just imagine filling them with yummy cheesecake, biscotti, cannolis, and the like for your upcoming holiday party. Seeing the large assortment of pastries inside and in the display window is enough to make anyone’s mouth water. This is how the cafe describes itself on its website:

Veniero’s Café, with its stamped copper ceilings, Italian marble floors, and stained glass ceilings, is an old world style Italian café where one can relax with an espresso or cappuccino, homemade biscotti, cannoli, or slice of authentic Italian cheesecake or chocolate mousse cake, and feel like you are overlooking la piazza in Rome.

If you can’t make it to their 11th Street store, you can also place orders online through their website. We hope you’ll stop by in person or online to not only enjoy these tasty treats, but also to help support a long-established and much beloved East Village café.
