Programs Associate

Maya Wilson (pronouns: she/her) is our Programs Associate, a role in which she assists with the planning and organization of our public events, helps coordinate our educational programs, and undertakes archival and administrative projects. Prior to taking on this position, Maya had been an intern with our organization from June 2022 through February 2023, collaborating on various research and programming projects during that time. During her tenure as an intern, she developed a new art project for our children’s education program, and helped coordinate outreach and promotion for our public programs. Previously, Maya worked for the Morgan Library and Museum as a visitor services assistant and as a transcriber of historical letters from the inaugural librarian.

Maya hails from western Massachusetts. Before college, Maya served with AmeriCorps as after-school coordinator, where she provided art instruction to students and organized biweekly field trips to the local library with a youth librarian. She graduated from the New School in the fall of 2021, where she had majored in Interdisciplinary Arts with a concentration in Visual Studies.
