Each year, Village Preservation honors neighborhood institutions and leaders at our Annual Meeting and Village Awards. This joyous community event, free and open to the public, highlights and celebrates the invaluable people, places, and organizations that make our neighborhoods some of the most interesting and exceptional in the city. The night also includes a review of Village Preservation’s activities and accomplishments over the last year. 

The 35th Annual Village Awards and 45th Annual Members Meeting will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, June 11, at 6 pm at The Cooper Union’s Great Hall. Registration is available HERE.

More than 260 awards have been given as part of the Village Awards since 1991. This year’s Village Award winners are:

• Danspace Project, 131 East 10th Street
• Forbidden Planet, 832 Broadway
• La Lanterna, 129 MacDougal Street
• LUNGS — Loisaida United Neighborhood Gardens
• Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center, 51 Christopher Street
• Regina Kellerman Award: Charles Fitzgerald and Kathy Cerick

Please note: Due to unforeseen circumstances, this year we will NOT be able to hold an on-site reception at the Great Hall at Cooper Union following the awards and meeting. There will be a nearby off-site reception following the event for Village Preservation members, awardees, and their guests, which requires a separate registration.
