On Wednesday, November 12 at 6:30 pm, Community Board 2’s Land Use Committee will hold a public hearing on Village Preservation’s recent report outlining the failures and broken promises of the city’s 2021 SoHo/NoHo Rezoning (READ IT HERE, and read more about failures of the rezoning here and here). We’ll present our findings on the many ways in which the rezoning has deviated from promises and projections made by the City and proponents in terms of the affordability and housing it was supposed to deliver, including destroying existing affordable housing and enabling development with no affordability whatsoever. 

As this will be a public hearing, questions and comments from the public will be allowed. We strongly urge you to attend.
