On Tuesday the Landmarks Preservation Commission will be reviewing and may be voting upon an application to build a 9-story hotel at 27 East 4th Street next to the Merchant’s House Museum in the NoHo Historic District (more info HERE).  GVSHP and many other groups have opposed the plan as out-of-scale, inappropriately-designed, and potentially endangering the safety of the fragile, historic landmarked house.

How to help:

Join us at the Commission meeting to show support for preserving the Merchant’s House and for no out-of-scale or out-of-character development on the adjoining site.  The Landmarks Preservation Commission hearing room is on the 9th floor of the Municipal Bldg., 1 Centre Street (at Chambers St.).  Arrive by 10:10 am tomorrow, Tuesday, March 12 (bring photo ID).
