March 24 Forum for Mayoral Candidates on Preservation Issues Approaching, as 30 Groups Join to Co-Sponsor

It’s just two weeks away! Village Preservation and fellow preservation organizations across NYC are hosting the ONLY forum with Mayoral candidates focused on preservation and development issues. We strongly urge you to attend — to learn more about the candidates, and to let them know that New Yorkers care about preserving our city and our neighborhoods.

Want to help even more? Spread the word, and ask friends, family, and neighbors to register and attend. The more people in our “Zoom room” for this forum, the more Mayoral candidates know that New Yorkers care about these issues.

This is one of the most important Mayoral elections in memory. Our city is at a turning point, and powerful forces are pushing unprecedented measures to deregulate development in our city and roll back longstanding landmark and zoning protections. The next occupant of City Hall will shape our city and our neighborhoods for generations. Thirty organizations (and counting!) from across NYC are cosponsoring the forum.

Stay tuned for information on our Manhattan Borough President and City Council District 1, 2, and 3 candidate forums later this spring.
