Village Voices Interactive Exhibit Gets Rave Reviews, Up Until October 13

VILLAGE VOICES, Village Preservation’s public interactive outdoor exhibition, is up until October 13, and has received quite a lot of attention so far!

Using 21 shadowboxes containing photographs and artifacts placed throughout Greenwich Village, the East Village, and NoHo, VILLAGE VOICES celebrates history-making people, places, and moments from our neighborhoods’ past. Current Village residents including John Leguizamo, Edward Norton, Joel Grey, Norman Reedus, Kathleen Chalfant, Alec Baldwin, and many more have recorded insights into the neighborhood’s trailblazers, which can be accessed via QR codes located at each installation. Several boxes also feature augmented reality visuals.

See recent coverage in the New York Times, on NY1 News (also here), in Women’s Wear Daily, and on ArtDaily.org.

With a little over two weeks left before it comes down, you won’t want to miss it. Be sure to share with friends and neighbors, and be sure to join us in celebrating the incredibly rich and expansive history of innovation, progress, and wonder connected to our neighborhoods.
