From 1 pm to 3:30 pm meet Village Preservation staff in front of Church of St. Anthony of Padua (154 Sullivan Street) to get your maps of participating shops.

After 3:30 pm head over to The Hat Shop at 148 Sullivan to pick up your map.

Save the date! Join us in celebrating South Village month by coming down to the Sullivan-Thompson Historic District for some holiday shopping. Take a stroll among the district’s many wonderful independent stores and businesses while enjoying the festive decor. Several shops will be offering treats, prizes, or discounts for those who sign up. 

Village Preservation kicked off its campaign to honor, document, and seek landmark designation for the South Village and its remarkable immigrant and bohemian histories in December of 2006 and completed the effort in December of 2016 with designation of the third and final phase of our proposed South Village Historic District, the largest expansion of landmark protections in the neighborhood since 1969, and among the city’s first and only historic districts to honor immigrant and artistic history. We now celebrate each December as “South Village Month.”
