Cushman row house on West 20th Street.
In 1839-40, Don Alonzo Cushman (b. 1792, d. 1875) built the red-brick Greek Revival rowhouses at 406-418 West 20th Street. Don contributed a great deal to the development of the neighborhood of Chelsea and launched his own real estate business, D.A. Cushman Realty Corp, in the 1850s.
