APPLICATION STATUS:

Status as of November 15th, 2011: LATEST NEWS
The applicant presented the revised proposal to the Landmarks Preservation Commission on November 15th (see above for a photo). The Commission voted to approve the revised application.

Status as of November 10th, 2011:
The revised proposal will be presented to the Landmarks Preservation Commission at their public meeting on November 15th. Public attendance is welcome but public comment will not be allowed.

Status as of October 25th, 2011:
The applicant presented the proposal to the Landmarks Preservation Commission at their public hearing on October 25th. Commissioners all agreed that more should be done to reference the building’s historic character. They did not vote today, but rather asked the applicant to return to the drawing board to craft a proposal that would better reference some period in the building’s history. The applicant will return to the Commission to present a revised proposal at a public meeting, date TBD.

Status as of October 21st, 2011:
The Landmarks Preservation Commission’s public hearing on this application has been rescheduled for October 25th.

Status as of October 17th, 2011:
The Landmarks Preservation Commission’s public hearing on this application, originally scheduled for October 18th, has been postponed to a date TBD.

Status as of October 11th, 2011:
The application was presented at the Community Board 2 hearing on October 11th. See above for photos. The application will be presented next at the Landmarks Preservation Commission’s hearing on October 18th. Status as of September 30th, 2011:
This application is scheduled to be shown publicly for the first time at the Community Board 2 Landmarks & Public Aesthetics Committee public hearing on Tuesday, October 11th, 2011, at 6:30 pm in the NYU Silver Building, 32 Waverly Place, Room 208 (as this information is subject to change, please visit the Community Board’s website for the most up-to-date information). Public attendance and testimony are welcome.
