PAST HEARING/MEETING DATES and DECISIONS

LPC Public Hearing – June 24th, 2025
Approved in Part/No Action: The commission took no action regarding the original pavilion windows on either side, requesting that they be retained rather than enlarged as proposed. The applicants have the option to return to a future hearing with revisions to that aspect of the scope. The project was otherwise approved as presented.

Community Board 2 Meeting – May 12th, 2025
CB Resolution Recommends:
A. Approval of the careful facade restoration provided that the lighting fixtures are of a historic design suitable to the building and that the existing “bumpers” be replicated in the bays to recall their use as garage entrances; and
B. Approval of the added penthouse floors and the rebuilding of the rear portion of the building to provide a greater garden area.

Please note: At this time, all LPC public hearings and meetings are hybrid. Members of the public may participate in person at the LPC Hearing Room, 253 Broadway, Second Floor, or virtually via Zoom and YouTube. For a video tutorial on how to participate virtually, click HERE.

View the video after a LPC hearing concludes: Videos of past LPC Hearings and Meetings can be found on their YouTube page. The LPC posts these videos about a week after the presentation. Videos include the applicant’s presentation, public testimony (for hearings only), and deliberation by the LPC commissioners.
