PAST HEARING/MEETING DATES and DECISIONS
LPC Public Hearing – December 2nd, 2025
NO ACTION: Some commissioners were OK with the rooftop profiles of the dormers, but not enough to reach a majority. Therefore the applicants were asked to consider how they might correct the shape and pitch of the dormers. Commissioners agreed that the dormer windows need to be true paired casements to match the historic condition and original approval. Opinions were mixed about the transom at 20 Christopher Street, with some commissioners asking that its details be corrected. All seemed OK with the shutters as installed. If the applicants agree to do a true restoration for the dormers and transom, the work could be done at staff level. Otherwise, the applicants will need to return to a future public meeting with proposed revisions.
Community Board 2 Meeting – November 13th, 2025
CB Resolution Recommends:
A. That the application be revisited by the Commission;
B. That the dormer and dormer windows be reconstructions of the original condition historic designs;
C. Approval of the transom window.
Community Board 2 Meeting – October 16th, 2025
