Status as of May 17th, 2011
At the Landmarks Preservation Commission’s public hearing on May 17th, the Commission voted to approve the application. However, they asked that the applicant work with staff to change the material of the railing to something other than glass.

Status as of May 9th, 2011
At the May 9th Community Board 2 Landmarks & Public Aesthetics Committee meeting, the applicant presented the proposal that will be heard at the Landmarks Preservation Commission on May 17th.

This application is scheduled to be shown publicly for the first time at the Community Board 2 Landmarks & Public Aesthetics Committee public hearing at on Monday, May 9th, 2011, at 6:30 pm at New York University, 194 Mercer Street, Room 306 (as these details are subject to change, please visit the Community Board’s calendar for the most up-to-date information).
