PAST HEARING/MEETING DATES and DECISIONS

LPC Public Meeting – November 25th, 2025
APPROVED

LPC Public Hearing – October 28th, 2025
NO ACTION: Commissioners found it appropriate to construct a building here, and overall lauded this proposal. They liked the siting of the building and the use of terra cotta and brick, especially at the Hudson Street facade. Most expressed that the applicants need to further study the Christopher Street facade and the best use of materials there. There was discussion about the variation in height of the building, with some stating that the height should be lowered or that the building should be the same height throughout.

LPC Public Hearing – September 30th, 2025
LAID OVER

Community Board 2 Meeting – July 21st, 2025
CB Resolution Recommends:
A. Denial of the application as a building that is coldly foreboding on the east and presents a “backdoor” design to an important thoroughfare at the north; and
B. That the applicant return for a CB2 public hearing before the Landmarks Committee with a revised design that, taking into account the suggestions above, is harmonious with the campus and the neighborhood and achieves some measure of conversation with the street.
