At the August 3rd public hearing, the Landmarks Preservation Commission voted to approve the application. However, they debated heavily regarding whether or not maintaining the concrete at the western end of the street would be more appropriate than replacing it with a more historic material. They asked the applicant to work with Commission staff to see if it would be possible to determine what material existed there historically and whether or not it would be appropriate to install this material in place of the concrete.
