(l. to r.) 816, 814, 812, 810, and 808 Broadway. This ensemble of buildings north of Grace Church and south of 12th Street range in date of construction from ca. 1830 (No. 816) to 1907 (No. 810). With the exception of No. 816, all were originally built for manufacturing, but have since been transformed to residences. These buildings played an important role in LGBTQ+, women’s, artistic, Irish, and public health history.
