388 Hudson Affordable Housing Development ‘Visioning’ Event This Thursday, May 11, 3–6 PM

The NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) is inviting the public to participate in the community visioning process to shape the development of affordable housing and community amenities at 388 Hudson Street, a City-owned site in Hudson Square (more info here and here).

They invite the public to stop by their next tabling event this Thursday, May 11, 3–6 PM at the 388 Hudson Street site to learn more. The HPD Outreach Van will be at the site with information about the project process, general housing resources, and opportunities for you to share your ideas.

You can also visit their interactive project website at nyc.gov/388-hudson-rfp to learn more. Tell NYC HPD what you want to see in the development by filling out the Project Questionnaire and Public Comments Map. Sign up for updates from NYC HPD here. Email questions or comments to 388HudsonRFP@hpd.nyc.gov.

Village Preservation welcomes affordable housing at this vacant city-owned site. We also believe it’s critical that the design and scale of the building be compatible and contextual with its surroundings, and shadows upon neighboring J.J. Walker Park are minimized.
