In just a week, our petition to NYC mayoral candidates urging them to support preservation as central to our city’s future has gained thousands of signatures, and doubled the number of cosponsoring organizations. Now is the time to tell future leaders of New York that preservation promotes sustainability, healthy economic growth, diverse communities, and affordable housing, and honors and elevates our city’s varied communities and cultures. Make sure preservation is front and center in planning for our city’s future, especially as it comes under increasing attack from the current lame-duck mayor.
