Vote NO on Ballot Questions 2-4 — Help Defeat Mayor Adams’ Destructive Charter Revision Proposals
Mayor Adams’ proposed changes to the NYC constitution, in the form of Ballot Questions 2-4, would damage affordability, democracy, and healthy neighborhoods. Portrayed as a way to “streamline” necessary and desirable projects, they would actually allow a huge range of developments, including massive super-luxury housing, corporate office towers, hotels, upscale shopping, and more — all in residential neighborhoods. It would remove not only oversight but also opportunities to demand health and infrastructure investments that support the new development, deeper and broader affordability, and right-sizing of proposed developments, as well as the chance to reject bad ones. A multimillion-dollar campaign is being waged to pass the measures, which would be almost impossible to reverse once approved.
We’ve put together a variety of resources, from a webinar to FAQ, explaining what these deceptively worded ballot questions would do, and a variety of materials you can share — from social media assets to printable flyers (also here) to to videos (also here). We’ve also made it easy for you to call on elected officials and Mayoral candidates to publicly oppose these ballot measures.
