Join us for a forum with candidates for the 3rd City Council District, currently represented by City Councilmember Erik Bottcher (district map here). This district includes all of Greenwich Village west of 6th Avenue south to Canal Street, and north to 55th Street.

The primary election will be held on June 24, 2025, with early voting from June 14 to 22. The general election will be held on November 4, 2025.

This will be a unique opportunity to hear from candidates about preservation, development, and planning issues in our neighborhood, and how they will deal with them as City Councilmember. All candidates have been invited. Candidates so far confirmed are Erik Bottcher, Louis Flores, and Dominick Romero.

There will be an opportunity for questions from the public moderated by the host, and the forum will be recorded and shared after. The City Council plays an enormously important role in land use, development, and preservation issues, particularly at the local level. They are local neighborhoods’ advocates and representatives to our city government.
