A part of the Little Red Schoolhouse and Elisabeth Irwin’s (LREI) Centennial Celebration, please join Yukie Ohta P’26, founder of the SoHo Memory Project, on Zoom for a presentation on Elisabeth Irwin and 100 years of LREI through 10 objects from the school’s archives.

Yukie Ohta is founder of the SoHo Memory Project, a nonprofit organization that celebrates and preserves the history of SoHo as a New York City neighborhood. For the past decade, Ohta has been collecting archival materials that document the transformation of SoHo from a declining industrial area to a thriving artists’ community in the 1960s and 1970s. Ohta’s archive will soon move to its permanent home at the New-York Historical Society Patricia D. Klingenstein Library. Ohta is also an eighth grade parent and the archivist at LREI.

This event is sponsored by Village Preservation in collaboration with LREI.
