Based on his newly published book, author William Hennessey will present the fascinating story of the rise, decline, and rebirth of New York’s Hudson waterfront from the 17th century to the present. He will lead us on a virtual journey all the way from the Battery to Spuyten Duyvil, with a special focus on the Greenwich Village waterfront. Along the we will explore piers and parks, notable buildings both historical and contemporary, key transportation infrastructure, and seminal historic events and personalities that shaped New York’s dynamic relationship with the river that is its raison d’être.
