Facing east across Washington Street, Nick Fritsch (aged 7) and his older sister Erica, in the foreground in front of cut pieces of the High Line trestle. Their home at 141 Perry street is visible on upper center-left. Immediately across Washington Street behind the cut pieces of trestle and crane stands the Port Electric Supply Corp. building, which burned down in 1965 in an enormous five-alarm fire which lasted for two days.
