Tell Borough President Stringer to Vote ‘No’ on NYU’s Expansion Plans

Please join GVSHP, NYU faculty and students, and Village, SoHo, NoHo, Union Square, and Chelsea Community groups for a press conference calling upon Borough President Stringer to vote ‘NO’ on NYU’s massive proposed Village expansion plan tomorrow:

When: Thursday, March 22 at noon
Where: On the steps of City Hall (bring photo ID and arrive early to get through security)

Approval of NYU’s expansion plan in whole or in part would have disastrous consequences for the neighborhood, and we believe that better alternatives for the neighborhood, for the city, and even for the university should be considered.

Borough President Stringer will be the first elected official to vote on the NYU plan – we need to let him know in no uncertain terms that we want him to vote ‘NO.’
