Development Associate
Sandra Pomeleo-Fowler is our Development Associate, working to support and collaborate with our dedicated member community. Prior to taking on this position, Sandra was Program Coordinator at Austin, Texas–based Latinx arts organization La Peña. There, she completed multiple successful projects with La Peña, including their first two virtual gallery exhibitions and a digital interview series, and assisted with city grant applications and grassroots fundraising. Sandra has also researched small, cultural heritage nonprofits and the issues that they faced navigating the pandemic, and ultimately wrote a working “digital handbook” with creative marketing and fundraising strategies to circumvent these challenges.
Sandra is originally from Dripping Springs, Texas. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Studio Art and Anthropology at Smith College, where she graduated summa cum laude, and was a member of the school’s Museum Studies concentration program.
