Safety Guidelines for In-Person, Outdoor Events at Village Preservation

Village Preservation’s top priority. is the health and well-being of our program attendees, staff, and volunteers. Please note any interaction with the general public poses an elevated risk of being exposed to COVID-19; we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed while in attendance at the event. That said, we are taking enhanced precautions to ensure that we are providing a safe environment for all and have put the following protocols in place:

  • Face coverings are required for everyone. Please bring your own face coverings that cover your nose and mouth and wear them at all times.

  • Social distancing is required. Please maintain 6 feet of distance from individuals outside of your primary household.

  • Stay home if you are feeling sick or symptomatic. Please do not join us in person if you or someone you have recently been exposed to have experienced any symptoms related to COVID -19 in the past 14 days. Staff will be performing self-health checks as well.

  • Village Preservation staff and program attendees have the right to an environment free from unsafe, threatening, or inappropriate behavior. We reserve the right to remove any person acting in an unacceptable or inappropriate manner.

  • Village Preservation reserves the right to ask for proof of vaccination if requested by a tour leader. (Any indoor gatherings require proof of vaccination according to NYC regulations as of 8/17/2021)
  • By registering for an event with Village Preservation, you agree to abide by our safety protocols.

For any accessibility questions, please email rsvp@gvshp.org or call (212) 475-9585 x25.

Thank you for not wearing fragrances at Village Preservation events for the health and consideration of others.

Village Preservation’s programs are generously funded by: the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, Corey Johnson, and generous Village Preservation members.

With special thanks to our programming partners!
