The Times They Are a-Changin: Village New Year’s Eve, Bob Dylan style!

2016 is coming to an end. What better way to ring in the New Year than at some of Bob Dylan’s old haunts? Below is a non-exhaustive list of some of the most well known (including ones that have moved) so your New Year’s Eve won’t be Blowin’ in the Wind!
The Bitter End at 147 Bleecker Street saw the birth of Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Revue concert tour. What better place to end a bitter year!
Located at 115 MacDougal Street, Dylan originally played backup harmonica here for singer Fred Neil. Stop by to help rock in 2017!

While this epicenter of the beatnik music Scene is gone from its original location at 11-13 Minetta Street, the new location at 130 W. 3rd Street is a purr-fect nightspot for an end of year celebration!

Both poets and folksies colonized the original Village bar at 114 MacDougal Street, but these days you can relive this past while welcoming in the future in its current location at 59 Christopher Street.

Whitehorse Tavern
Dylan owes his namesake partially to the Whitehorse Tavern. This bar at 567 Hudson Street was the favorite drinking ground of poet Dylan Thomas (whose ghost is said to still haunt the establishment), and it was this regular at “The Horse” that inspired Robert Zimmerman to become Bob Dylan. Follow in the path of both Dylans, come by to imbibe a highball as the ball drops!
