Join GVSHP and an amazing lineup tomorrow night at our third annual Comedy Night. We have secured some of the best comics around – this isn’t amateur hour!!! Starting at 7pm (doors open at 6) at the Village Underground, 130 West 3rd Street, join GVSHP and the eight comedians who have graciously donated their time:
Chris Distefano: This is his 3rd year doing our show and is one of our audience’s favorites comics! People regularly ask if he’ll perform the following year. CBS just bought his show ‘Distefano’ , which is being produced by the creators of ‘How I Met Your Mother’. Chazz Palmienteri will be playing his dad, Annie Potts will play his mom and Diane Guerrero from Orange is the New Black will be playing his wife.
Robert Kelly: plays Louis CK’s brother on ‘Louie’ , was recently on FX’s ‘Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll’, and consistently appears on ‘Inside Amy Schumer’. He also has a show on Sirius.
Paul Mercurio: is a recurring act on the Stephen Colbert Show and a recurring political commentator on CNN.
Marc Gerber: has been featured on CNN’s RunningMate podcast, NBC, MTV, and in The New York Post. He’s also a well-respected comedy roast battler.
Erin Jackson: also a fan favorite and returning for a third consecutive year, Erin was a semifinalist on the 2014 reboot of NBC’s ‘Last Comic Standing’, co-hosted three seasons of “Exhale,” on Magic Johnson’s ASPiRE television network, can be seen nightly in many of New York City’s top comedy clubs.
Yamaneika Saunders: was a semi-finalist on ‘Last Comic Standing’, one of the stars of ‘Funny Girls’ on Oxygen, and panelist on ‘The Meredith Vieira Show’.
Mo Amer: has appeared on television several times, starred in a handful of independent films, and has been interviewed by over 100 major world media outlets, including The New York Times, Rolling Stone, and The Guardian. He appeared on Bassem Youssef’s ‘Al-Bernameg’ (The Daily Show of Egypt) and served as co-host of Comedy Central Presents (CC Arabia). Mo will appear on Comedy Central’s @midnight and make his late night debut on CBS’s Late Night with Stephen Colbert, has an original sitcom in development, and plans to record his first one-hour standup special for television this year.
Emma Willmann: made her late night debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in 2016 and has performed standup on Fuse’s Uproarious, Seeso’s Night Train with Wyatt Cenac and The Guest List, and AXS TV’s Gotham Comedy Live. In 2017, Emma had the opportunity to record a set for the CNN series The History of Comedy. Later this year you can catch Emma on the MTV International talking head series, Vidiots, as a cast regular and on the web series Gay Girl Straight Girl, 2 Girls one Show, and Janice Gunter Ghost Hunter. She also has her own comedy show, The Check Spot on SiriusXM and is a regular co- host on Wake Up with Taylor! On SiriusXM STARZ.
