This past year has seen tremendous victories, some a decade in the making, and increasing push back against preservation efforts on many fronts. Nevertheless, Village Preservation is growing, in what we do and who we serve. And as you’ll see noted in our Annual Report, Village Preservation consistently significantly exceeds Better Business Bureau (BBB) guidelines for charities for the portion of our income that goes towards programming and services. We also consistently fall well below BBB guidelines for the maximum percentage of income spent on fundraising activities. Village Preservation is far and away the largest neighborhood historic preservation organization in New York City.
