Public Presentations: Mayor Adams’ ‘City of Yes’ Rezoning Proposals

Mayor Adams has been touting plans to change zoning regulations in New York City, which he refers to as his “City of Yes” plan. The Mayor’s stated intention is to make it easier for more types of and larger-sized commercial and residential developments to be constructed or expanded in our city. Village Preservation is deeply concerned that these proposals may strip away essential zoning and landmark protections for our neighborhoods, and encourage oversized and out-of-character development while offering little or no public benefits in return.

Few details have been provided so far, but that may soon change. On October 17, city officials will make a public presentation of his plan.
