Co-Sponsored by The East Village Community Coalition

Come celebrate artist Lily Annabelle’s Tompkins Square Library art exhibition, “Goodbye to the Brick and Mortar,” by attending this special program. Lily’s work is a celebration of the life and memories of neighborhood establishments. In illustrating memorabilia from different eras and piecing them back together, Lily skillfully tells a story that defies time, lets the old meet the new, and that pays homage to the humans who have made a mark on the community. Enjoy a moderated discussion with Lily, as well as panelists from storefronts depicted in the exhibit: Ess a Bagel, Kim’s Video and Music, and 2nd Ave Deli.

About the Speaker:

Lily Annabelle is a West Village-based illustration artist. Prior to starting her art

art scene, Lily already started to gain ground in the city. Her illustrations are
proudly treasured by over 50 famed New York establishments, among them
are familiar names such as Bergdorf Goodman, Smith & Wollensky, and
Comedy Cellar. Currently, Lily is curating two more shows, and preparing to
publish her first book.
