Walking the Greenwich Village Historic District!

Forgotten Villagers of the Greenwich Village Historic District

No neighborhood has such a varied and influential history as Greenwich Village in Manhattan. It was home to revolutionaries, social commentators, labor movements, women’s rights advocates, jazz and blues music, painting, and debauchery. It was also the epicenter of the literary movement in America for over 100 years. This tour focuses on the lesser known – the plethora of writers, revolutionaries, and others who flew under the radar while still making deep marks on the neighborhood, the architectural developments, the early settlements, and more.

Through performances of scenes, poetry and prose, engaging stories, and wit, Literary Pub Crawl provides experiences of the Village in the most unique and engaging way possible. With over 18 years of walking the neighborhood, they’ve amassed some of the best research and stories to be had here.
