This image shows the home of architect Linda Yowell in 1979 prior to restoration. The brownstone trim was spalled away. The stoop had been removed and the doorway entablature was damaged. The base was covered in painted stucco and window sills had been replaced with brick.

While the townhouse was in poor condition aesthetically, it was structurally sound and the brick was in fine condition under the paint. The restoration process included replacing the stoop and restoring the brownstone base, lintels, and sills. Click here to see the restored home.
