Village Voices Gets Rave Reviews, Ongoing through October 30

VILLAGE VOICES 2022, an outdoor public installation of 24 public audio and visual art exhibits displayed throughout Greenwich Village, the East Village, and NoHo that tell the story of the incredible history-making people and events connected to sites in our neighborhoods, continues to garner rave reviews and overwhelming response. See coverage on NY1 (also here and here), in the New School News, and on EV Grieve and Dance Enthusiast.

Village Voices 2022 includes 22 place-based “shadow boxes,” a 20-ft-high window installation at 70 Fifth Avenue, and an interactive “Monument to Choice” at Gansevoort Plaza. Scannable QR codes at each location allow you to hear and find out more about the course-of-history-changing people and events connected to these sites.

VILLAGE VOICES will be on display through October 30 for everyone to discover and enjoy!

Our opening day celebration featured some amazing performances and a ribbon cutting at Gansevoort Plaza at Little West 12th Street, as well as a wonderful ball at the newly renovated Jefferson Market Library for our strongest supporters (see photos here). While Village Voices is free and open to the public, it’s also our annual benefit fundraiser, and we thank all who have contributed to make it possible.
