Far West Village
The Far West Village was almost entirely lacking in landmark or zoning protections in the early 2000s, as high-rise development and demolition of historic properties spread throughout the area. Village Preservation spearheaded a successful campaign to secure landmark and zoning protections for the area, to preserve historic buildings and prevent out-of-scale new development. We continue to push for such protections and monitor to ensure landmarks and zoning regulations are faithfully enforced.
